WASP-47 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.06 solar masses, 5,565 K, 1.16 solar radii), 265 light-years from Earth. WASP-47 is a rare hot Jupiter with nearby companion planets, an inner super-Earth and an outer Neptune, instead of an empty orbit. WASP-47 e is a 9.0-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 19.0 hours, discovered in 2015 via transit. WASP-47 b is a 1.18-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.2 days, discovered in 2012 via transit. WASP-47 d is a 15.5-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 9.0 days, discovered in 2015 via transit. WASP-47 c is a 1.41-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.61 years, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.26), discovered in 2015 via radial velocity.
