KOI-94 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.28 solar masses, 6,182 K, 1.52 solar radii), 477 light-years from Earth. Kepler-89 (KOI-94) produced the first observed planet-planet eclipse, one world partly blocking another during a shared transit. KOI-94 b is a 10.5-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 3.7 days, at 0.051 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,486 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.25), discovered in 2013 via transit. KOI-94 c is a 15.6-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 10.4 days, at 0.101 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,012 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.43), discovered in 2013 via transit.
