KOI-142 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.99 solar masses, 5,466 K, 0.90 solar radii), 377 light-years from Earth. Kepler-88 (KOI-142) is called the king of transit variations: an outer giant pulls the inner planet's transits hours off schedule. KOI-142 b is a 9.5-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 10.9 days, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.06), discovered in 2013 via transit. KOI-142 c is a 0.67-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 22.3 days, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.06), discovered in 2013 via transit. Kepler-88 d is a 3.05-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 3.84 years, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.41), discovered in 2020 via radial velocity.
