Kepler-56 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.32 solar masses, 4,840 K, 4.23 solar radii), 913 light-years from Earth. Kepler-56 was the first multi-planet system found tilted as a whole relative to its host star's equator. Kepler-56 b is a 0.07-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 10.5 days, at 0.103 AU from its star, discovered in 2012 via transit. Kepler-56 c is a 0.57-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 21.4 days, at 0.165 AU from its star, discovered in 2012 via transit. Kepler-56 d is a 5.61-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 2.74 years, at 2.160 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.20), discovered in 2016 via radial velocity.
