Kepler-52 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.54 solar masses, 4,075 K, 0.52 solar radii), 322 light-years from Earth. Kepler-52 d is a planet with 1.9 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 36.4 days, at 0.182 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. Kepler-52 b is a 0.42-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 7.9 days, discovered in 2012 via transit. Kepler-52 c is a 0.14-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 16.4 days, discovered in 2012 via transit. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
