K2-233 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.79 solar masses, 4,796 K, 0.71 solar radii), 67.5 light-years from Earth. K2-233 b is a 2.4-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 2.5 days, at 0.033 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,127 K, discovered in 2018 via transit. K2-233 c is a 4.6-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 7.1 days, at 0.066 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 794 K, discovered in 2018 via transit. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
