HD 69830 b is a 10.2-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 8.7 days, at 0.079 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.10), discovered in 2006 via radial velocity. HD 69830 c is a 11.8-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 31.6 days, at 0.186 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.13), discovered in 2006 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
