HD 37124 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.85 solar masses, 5,699 K), 31.7 light-years from Earth. HD 37124 b is a 0.68-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 154 days, at 0.534 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.05), discovered in 2002 via radial velocity. HD 37124 c is a 0.65-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 2.42 years, at 1.710 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.13), discovered in 2002 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
