HD 125612 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.05 solar masses, 5,900 K), 57.6 light-years from Earth. HD 125612 c is a 15.6-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 4.2 days, at 0.051 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.15), discovered in 2009 via radial velocity. HD 125612 b is a 2.97-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.53 years, at 1.349 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.45), discovered in 2007 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
