DMPP-2 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.41 solar masses, 6,500 K), 138 light-years from Earth. DMPP-2 c is a 0.16-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 3.2 days, at 0.048 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.28), discovered in 2026 via radial velocity. DMPP-2 b is a 0.54-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 5.2 days, at 0.066 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.06), discovered in 2019 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
