WASP-148 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.95 solar masses, 5,555 K, 0.91 solar radii), 246 light-years from Earth. WASP-148 b is a 0.29-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 8.8 days, at 0.082 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.21), discovered in 2020 via transit. WASP-148 c is a 0.39-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 34.5 days, at 0.204 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.18), discovered in 2020 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
