TYC 8998-760-1 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.00 solar masses, 4,573 K), 94.6 light-years from Earth. TYC 8998-760-1 is a young star with two giant planets imaged on wide orbits, one of the few directly imaged multi-planet systems. TYC 8998-760-1 b is a confirmed exoplanet, at 146 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.44), discovered in 2020 via direct imaging. TYC 8998-760-1 c is a 6.00-Jupiter-mass companion, at 320 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,240 K, discovered in 2020 via direct imaging. Direct imaging revealed these planets because they are young, massive, and widely separated from their star, appearing bright in infrared light against the glare.
