TOI-836 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.68 solar masses, 4,552 K, 0.67 solar radii), 27.5 light-years from Earth. TOI-836 b is a 4.5-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 3.8 days, at 0.042 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 871 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.05), discovered in 2023 via transit. TOI-836.01 is a 9.6-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 8.6 days, at 0.075 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 665 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.08), discovered in 2021 via transit.
