TOI-1836 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.31 solar masses, 6,380 K, 1.58 solar radii), 192 light-years from Earth. TOI-1836 c is a 8.0-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 1.8 days, at 0.031 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 2,008 K, discovered in 2024 via transit. TOI-1836 b is a 0.12-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 20.4 days, at 0.160 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 966 K, discovered in 2024 via transit. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
