TOI-1736 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.04 solar masses, 5,636 K, 1.43 solar radii), 88.9 light-years from Earth. TOI-1736 b is a 12.3-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 7.1 days, at 0.073 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,100 K, discovered in 2023 via transit. TOI-1736 c is a 7.68-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.56 years, at 1.370 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.37), discovered in 2023 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
