TOI-1408 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.31 solar masses, 6,117 K, 1.53 solar radii), 139 light-years from Earth. TOI-1408 c is a 7.6-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 2.2 days, at 0.036 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.14), discovered in 2024 via transit. TOI-1408 b is a 1.87-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.4 days, at 0.058 AU from its star, discovered in 2023 via transit. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
