OGLE-2014-BLG-1722L is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.40 solar masses, 5,778 K), 6,400 light-years from Earth. OGLE-2014-BLG-1722L b is a 0.17-Jupiter-mass companion, at 1.500 AU from its star, discovered in 2018 via microlensing. OGLE-2014-BLG-1722L c is a 0.26-Jupiter-mass companion, at 1.700 AU from its star, discovered in 2018 via microlensing. Microlensing detections occur when a foreground star's gravity briefly magnifies a background source, revealing planets that are otherwise too faint and distant to observe directly. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
