KMT-2022-BLG-1818L is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.79 solar masses, 5,778 K), 5,300 light-years from Earth. KMT-2022-BLG-1818L b is a 4.00-Jupiter-mass companion, at 2.600 AU from its star, discovered in 2026 via microlensing. KMT-2022-BLG-1818L c is a 0.36-Jupiter-mass companion, at 12.6 AU from its star, discovered in 2026 via microlensing. Microlensing detections occur when a foreground star's gravity briefly magnifies a background source, revealing planets that are otherwise too faint and distant to observe directly. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
