Kepler-553 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.89 solar masses, 5,191 K, 0.90 solar radii), 729 light-years from Earth. Kepler-553 b is a 0.36-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.0 days, at 0.048 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,089 K, discovered in 2016 via transit. Kepler-553 c is a 6.70-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 328 days, at 0.898 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 251 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.35), discovered in 2016 via transit.
