Kepler-511 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.00 solar masses, 5,770 K, 1.20 solar radii), 652 light-years from Earth. Kepler-511 c is a planet with 4.2 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 26.6 days, discovered in 2021 via transit. Kepler-511 b is a planet with 6.3 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 297 days, discovered in 2016 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
