Kepler-312 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.31 solar masses, 6,115 K, 1.47 solar radii), 798 light-years from Earth. Kepler-312 b is a planet with 1.3 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 1.8 days, at 0.031 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. Kepler-312 c is a planet with 3.1 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 19.7 days, at 0.153 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
