Kepler-302 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.02 solar masses, 5,740 K, 1.22 solar radii), 1,403 light-years from Earth. Kepler-302 b is a planet with 4.1 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 30.2 days, at 0.193 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. Kepler-302 c is a planet with 12.4 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 127 days, at 0.503 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
