Kepler-278 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.23 solar masses, 4,965 K, 2.86 solar radii), 443 light-years from Earth. Kepler-278 b is a 0.18-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 30.2 days, at 0.202 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 586 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.70), discovered in 2014 via transit. Kepler-278 c is a 0.11-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 51.1 days, at 0.287 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 492 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.62), discovered in 2014 via transit.
