Kepler-1802 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.65 solar masses, 4,245 K, 0.64 solar radii), 637 light-years from Earth. Kepler-1802 b is a planet with 1.7 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 15.5 days, discovered in 2021 via transit. Kepler-1802 c is a planet with 2.3 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 33.1 days, discovered in 2021 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
