Kepler-1693 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.95 solar masses, 5,432 K, 0.88 solar radii), 760 light-years from Earth. Kepler-1693 c is a planet with 1.0 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 5.4 days, discovered in 2021 via transit. Kepler-1693 b is a planet with 1.3 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 12.1 days, discovered in 2020 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
