Kepler-1315 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.81 solar masses, 4,818 K, 0.86 solar radii), 481 light-years from Earth. Kepler-1315 b is a planet with 1.4 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 20.2 hours, discovered in 2016 via transit. Kepler-1315 c is a planet with 1.8 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 6.6 days, discovered in 2021 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
