Kepler-120 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.65 solar masses, 4,096 K, 0.53 solar radii), 389 light-years from Earth. Kepler-120 b is a planet with 2.1 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 6.3 days, at 0.055 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. Kepler-120 c is a planet with 1.5 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 12.8 days, at 0.088 AU from its star, discovered in 2014 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
