Kepler-1126 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.79 solar masses, 5,678 K, 0.92 solar radii), 636 light-years from Earth. Kepler-1126 c is a planet with 1.4 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 200 days, at 0.619 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 305 K, discovered in 2023 via transit. Kepler-1126 b is a planet with 1.7 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 109 days, discovered in 2016 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
