K2-8 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.78 solar masses, 4,870 K, 0.74 solar radii), 404 light-years from Earth. K2-8 c is a planet with 2.4 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 5.1 days, at 0.053 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 801 K, discovered in 2016 via transit. K2-8 b is a planet with 3.6 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 10.4 days, at 0.086 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 631 K, discovered in 2015 via transit.
