K2-36 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.79 solar masses, 4,916 K, 0.72 solar radii), 110 light-years from Earth. K2-36 b is a 4.3-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 1.4 days, at 0.023 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,328 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.09), discovered in 2016 via transit. K2-36 c is a 7.9-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 5.3 days, at 0.055 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 854 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.09), discovered in 2016 via transit.
