K2-141 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.71 solar masses, 4,570 K, 0.68 solar radii), 61.9 light-years from Earth. K2-141 b is a lava world on an ultra-short orbit, hot enough for a rock-vapor atmosphere that can rain out as magma. K2-141 b is a 5.0-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 6.7 hours, at 0.007 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 2,103 K, discovered in 2018 via transit. K2-141 c is a 8.0-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 7.7 days, at 0.068 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 695 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.09), discovered in 2018 via transit.
