HIP 65407 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.93 solar masses, 5,460 K), 61.8 light-years from Earth. HIP 65407 b is a 0.43-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 28.1 days, at 0.177 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.14), discovered in 2016 via radial velocity. HIP 65407 c is a 0.78-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 67.3 days, at 0.316 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.12), discovered in 2016 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
