HD 75898 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.29 solar masses, 6,122 K), 78.1 light-years from Earth. HD 75898 b is a 2.55-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.16 years, at 1.202 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.10), discovered in 2007 via radial velocity. HD 75898 c is a 8.49-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 18.4 years, at 7.390 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.08), discovered in 2024 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
