HD 45364 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.82 solar masses, 5,466 K, 0.89 solar radii), 34.4 light-years from Earth. HD 45364's two giant planets are locked in a 3:2 mean-motion resonance, likely captured during disk migration. HD 45364 b is a 0.19-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 226 days, at 0.679 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.07), discovered in 2008 via radial velocity. HD 45364 c is a 0.55-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 345 days, at 0.902 AU from its star, discovered in 2008 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
