HD 183263 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.06 solar masses, 5,948 K), 54.2 light-years from Earth. HD 183263 b is a 3.47-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.71 years, at 1.460 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.38), discovered in 2004 via radial velocity. HD 183263 c is a 9.31-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 12.8 years, at 5.585 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.05), discovered in 2008 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
