HD 159243 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.13 solar masses, 6,123 K, 1.12 solar radii), 73.3 light-years from Earth. HD 159243 b is a 1.13-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 12.6 days, at 0.110 AU from its star, discovered in 2013 via radial velocity. HD 159243 c is a 1.90-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 248 days, at 0.800 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.07), discovered in 2013 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
