HD 108874 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.95 solar masses, 5,551 K), 59.5 light-years from Earth. HD 108874 b is a 1.42-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.08 years, at 1.040 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.13), discovered in 2002 via radial velocity. HD 108874 c is a 0.99-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.45 years, at 2.659 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.24), discovered in 2005 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
