GJ 317 is a cool M-dwarf (about 0.40 solar masses, 3,496 K, 0.40 solar radii), 15.2 light-years from Earth. GJ 317 b is a 1.69-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 1.90 years, at 1.138 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.08), discovered in 2007 via radial velocity. GJ 317 c is a 1.43-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 17.8 years, at 5.040 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.22), discovered in 2016 via radial velocity.
