CoRoT-24 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.91 solar masses, 4,950 K, 0.86 solar radii), 592 light-years from Earth. CoRoT-24 b is a 5.7-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 5.1 days, at 0.056 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 1,070 K, discovered in 2014 via transit. CoRoT-24 c is a 0.09-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 11.8 days, at 0.098 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 850 K, discovered in 2014 via transit. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
