BD-210397 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.68 solar masses, 4,051 K, 0.75 solar radii), 23.7 light-years from Earth. BD-210397 b is a 0.70-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 5.18 years, at 2.630 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.10), discovered in 2023 via radial velocity. BD-210397 c is a 4.80-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 17.1 years, at 5.900 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.43), discovered in 2023 via radial velocity. Mutual gravitational tugs between the planets can slowly reshape their orbits, preserving clues to the system's assembly.
