14 Her is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.97 solar masses, 5,338 K), 17.9 light-years from Earth. 14 Her b is a 8.90-Jupiter-mass companion, at 2.839 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.37), discovered in 2002 via radial velocity. HD 145675 c is a 7.90-Jupiter-mass companion, at 20.0 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.52), discovered in 2021 via radial velocity. The planet betrayed itself through the star's reflex motion — a technique that first revealed worlds around Sun-like stars in the 1990s and remains a workhorse of exoplanet discovery.
