TOI-544 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 0.63 solar masses, 4,169 K, 0.62 solar radii), 41.1 light-years from Earth. TOI-544 b is a 2.9-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 1.5 days, at 0.022 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 999 K, discovered in 2022 via transit. TOI-544 c is a 0.07-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 50.1 days, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.32), discovered in 2023 via radial velocity. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry.
