TOI-4377 is an orange K-type dwarf (about 1.36 solar masses, 4,974 K, 3.52 solar radii), 456 light-years from Earth. TOI-4377 b is a 0.96-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.4 days, at 0.058 AU from its star, discovered in 2023 via transit. The inner world is a hot Jupiter — a gas giant hugging its star at a fraction of Mercury's distance — a class that forced astronomers to rethink how giant planets form and migrate inward. TOI-4377 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
