TOI-2211 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.90 solar masses, 5,253 K, 0.83 solar radii), 70.3 light-years from Earth. TOI-2211.01 is a planet with 1.6 Earth radii, with an orbital period of 3.1 days, at 0.040 AU from its star, discovered in 2024 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. TOI-2211.01 skims its star closer than Mercury orbits the Sun. At 1.6 Earth radii, TOI-2211.01 is a compact world comparable in size to rocky planets in our Solar System.
