TOI-1994 is a bright A-type star (about 1.86 solar masses, 7,700 K, 2.30 solar radii), 516 light-years from Earth. TOI-1994 b is a 22.1-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 4.0 days, at 0.061 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 2,290 K, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.34), discovered in 2024 via transit. The inner world is a hot Jupiter — a gas giant hugging its star at a fraction of Mercury's distance — a class that forced astronomers to rethink how giant planets form and migrate inward.
