TIC 4672985 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.01 solar masses, 5,757 K, 1.15 solar radii), 253 light-years from Earth. TIC 4672985 b is a 12.7-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 69.0 days, at 0.330 AU from its star, and an equilibrium temperature near 517 K, discovered in 2024 via transit. The planet was found when it crossed the face of its star, producing periodic dips in brightness that reveal its size and orbital period to space-based photometry. TIC 4672985 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
