PSR B0329+54 is a Sun-like G-type star (about 1.44 solar masses, 5,778 K). PSR B0329+54 b is a 2.0-Earth-mass planet, with an orbital period of 27.8 years, at 10.3 AU from its star, on an eccentric orbit (e ≈ 0.24), discovered in 2017 via pulsar timing. PSR B0329+54 adds another data point to the growing catalogue of planetary systems whose masses, orbits, and host-star properties constrain models of planet formation. The planet's marked eccentricity suggests past scattering events or perturbations from unseen companions. PSR B0329+54 b orbits far from its host star.
