OGLE-TR-211 is a Sun-like F-type star (about 1.33 solar masses, 6,325 K, 1.64 solar radii), 1,515 light-years from Earth. OGLE-TR-211 b is a 1.03-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 3.7 days, at 0.051 AU from its star, discovered in 2007 via transit. The inner world is a hot Jupiter — a gas giant hugging its star at a fraction of Mercury's distance — a class that forced astronomers to rethink how giant planets form and migrate inward. OGLE-TR-211 b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun.
