OGLE-2013-BLG-0911L is a Sun-like G-type star (about 0.29 solar masses, 5,778 K), 3,220 light-years from Earth. OGLE-2013-BLG-0911L b is a 9.51-Jupiter-mass companion, at 0.390 AU from its star, discovered in 2019 via microlensing. Microlensing detections occur when a foreground star's gravity briefly magnifies a background source, revealing planets that are otherwise too faint and distant to observe directly. OGLE-2013-BLG-0911L b orbits well inside Earth's distance from the Sun. At 9.5 Jupiter masses, the companion lies near the dividing line between giant planets and brown dwarfs.
