OGLE-2007-BLG-349L A is a cool M-dwarf (about 0.41 solar masses, 5,778 K), 2,760 light-years from Earth. OGLE-2007-BLG-349L AB c is a 0.25-Jupiter-mass companion, with an orbital period of 7.00 years, at 2.590 AU from its star, discovered in 2016 via microlensing. Microlensing detections occur when a foreground star's gravity briefly magnifies a background source, revealing planets that are otherwise too faint and distant to observe directly. OGLE-2007-BLG-349L AB c circles in the outer system, comparable to the Jupiter region. At roughly 2,760 light-years, OGLE-2007-BLG-349L A lies far beyond the nearest stars yet remains reachable to large survey telescopes.
